Getting Started at MNOHS Print E-mail

Minnesota Online High School (MNOHS) is now accepting applications for the 4th quarter classes.

Before submitting your enrollment application, it is highly recommended that you read through all pages in this section of the web site in order. Use the buttons at the bottom of each page to click to the next page. If you haven't yet done so, read Are you ready for online learning? and take the quiz to see if online learning is right for you. Make sure you've read the MNOHS Student and Parent Handbooks too—if you enroll, you need to know what's in them.

Talk over your decision with your family and friends. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian will need to give written permission for you to enroll at MNOHS. This is Part 2 of the enrollment application process, but it's a good idea to talk with them now.

Other important information in this section of the web site includes:

  • Computer Requirements – Read the "Hardware and Software Requirements" list and complete the system check.
  • Types of Enrollment – Decide whether you will be enrolled at MNOHS only (comprehensive enrollment) or if you will be a supplemental student at MNOHS. (Supplemental students attend MNOHS and another public school at the same time.)
  • Special Education – If you qualify for special education services, please read this page. If you enroll at MNOHS, you'll need to request to have your special education records (most recent IEP and Evaluation Report) sent or faxed to MNOHS immediately.

ENROLLING AT MNOHS: Before you can attend MNOHS, you must complete the two-part enrollment application process:

  • Part 1: Online Enrollment Application Form – in this section of the web site. NOTE: If you are over 18 and do not want MNOHS to communicate with your parent, please give your email address in place of a parental one.
  • Part 2: Application Confirmation and Learning Support Agreement – This will be automatically sent to your parent/guardian email address when your online form is submitted. It must be printed out, signed, and mailed to MNOHS to confirm your enrollment application.

To confirm you place at MNOHS, you must complete both parts of the enrollment application.

REGISTRATION, ORIENTATION, TESTING AND COURSE PLACEMENT: Once you have confirmed your enrollment application, we will mail you additional registration forms—plus information about testing, getting your computer ready, scheduling your courses, logging into MNOHS and the Orientation to Online Learning.
